Its Been Awhile....

Its been awhile since I've last blogged and my God there are too many things to blog till i have no idea what to blog at all.. And the worst part of it is that, I'm now too lazy to blog.
So maybe I'll just post the highlights of the things that happen.. again.. as usual..

1. 31st Jan 2008

Attended my company's annual dinner. As usual one of the youngest there and illegal to drink and yet I drank like a pussy and vomited like one too.. gaarrr.. It wasn't my intention to drink but who could refuse a drink from the Big Boss, so Big Boss if you're reading this, I was more bonuses and a raise K THX!..

CNY deco

Nice house with a pool.. =)

Got home around 4am in the morning and yes i turned up for work the next day too.. =)

2. Old Brother got a new macbook, I want one too..

3. Macbook Air @ machines.

Okay, its not out yet. but hey, just to give u a preview of it... Official launch in Malaysia will be sometime this or next week....

4. Chinese New Year
Approximately 7 hours drive to Kuala Terengganu..

We brought along a few backups to minimize the journey's boredness..
1. burnt cd that didn't work on the car stereo. awkward....
2. macbook
3. dvds

The In Ride Entertainment to Kuala Terengganu was Ratatouille, in conjunction with the year of the rat...

The reason why the trip was so long was because somehow we made a detour and ended up on the old road to KT. So, with long boring roads comes many random pics of the sceneries.

The Election Race was really competitive here.. Just see the amount of flags along the roadsides.

BN, PAS, and UMNO's flags everywhere, well although I'm very liberal in my politics. But I have a good feeling that BN will continue to dominate this years election again.. Maybe I should become a Politician and talk crap the whole day and rule the country 1 day too.. Thats what you call life. =)

Dinner at my aunts place was lacking of several key items. Items such as Char Siew, Roasted Suckling Pig, abalone, and many more..

Anyway, Cho Yat of Chinese New Year,
Went to meet Sherry and her many many cousins and uncles and aunties again at her hometown..

Edison's :Owh ohh.., I think I've gotta poo....

Edison : Bombs away! heeeee!

*note, the above situation didn't actually happen.

On the way to home, look who we bumped into.. Mr Agong himself with many of his friends in Green ahead of him. Wondered why isn't he in Proton and instead being chauffeured in a Mercedes S500.... hmmmm...

Went to the beach behind my aunt's shop next.. This is the sign on the beach, probably they are building something like an area 51 thingy there.. cool!

The Beach.../area 51.

My tiny feet.

Dream Car?

Fishing.

After 3 days there, we headed off to Muar, that's South of Malaysia..

Well, nothing much there just collect more taxes and then we're good to go.. back home...

There's Something In The Air

I've stayed up till 3am to witness the MacWorld 2008 live....
Well, live is not really like video streaming, but its more like seeing text popping out and refreshing every minute or 2.
for example..
8:46am - Doors about to open, security in place.

8:48am - Camera crews entering, rest of press still waiting.

8:55AM - We're in! They're playing some new New Order, it sounds like. Mixing up the usual Coldplay / Gorillaz soundtrack.
From Engadget

Damn, so much for updates, but it was pretty interesting as I was at 3 different sites and all just as sluggish.

Anyway, the main purpose of this post is about the rant about the MacBook Air and the fake rumors which keeps our hearts tempting...

First of all, MacBook Air, yeah its thin and all, but other manufacturers can produce equally thin notebooks if they didn't put anything in there at all, and it isn't the thinnest notebook according to wikipedia.. =S

"MacBook Air is a lightweight Macintosh subnotebook computer by Apple Inc. It was unveiled at the Macworld Conference & Expo on January 15, 2008, and is touted by Apple as the thinnest Macintosh notebook ever, at 0.76 inches (1.93 cm) thick at its widest part. However, the thinnest laptop ever, regardless of operating systems or manufacturers, was the 1998 Mitsubishi Pedion, which was 0.7244 inches thick.[1]"

Wikipedia

MacBook Air
Pros : Extremely Light, Thin, Backlit Keyboard, OLED Screen, Intel Core2Duo Processor, Can bring to school and hide it in a file because its so thin.
Cons : Suffering from Anorexia, No disc drive, No Firewire, 1 USB, Ugly Keyboard and Price.

What does it all mean,
Why spend more to get something less...

Anyway, that sums it all up, just alil pissed why they haven't launched the iPhone in Malaysia...

Come on Jobsie, launch it already! its about time..

Confusion?

I'm currently working at machines@pyramid and I kinda like the job.
Get to use the comp whenever you want to and you also get to play with ipods. How cool is that.
I'm also now confused about what course to study.
Apart from that, budget is also a factor to my decision making.
Private colleges are now a no no to me.
Most probably I'll take up mass communications, business and finance, form 6, aviation, hotel management, computer science or engineering,
Okay, thats probably like everything but i'm now trying to narrow down my choices.
Worst come to worst, I would just take a year off and take a year to decide.
So far, many people have already registered for school and started driving, well, i guess i'm far behind..
I'm still waiting to take my undang exam and I need the time to take it too.

Somebody help me...

Anyway, I'll just finish off with some pictures of me working.

My very pretty collegues.

Working hard or hardly working....?

Welcome back

Text Books Free Room.
After an absence of 55 days, I'm back with my comp in my room.
Many things had happen so far in the pass few days.
So I'll try to summarize it all in bullets.
  • Done with SPM
  • gain 5kg
  • Dropped 2 of my coke collections (dented one and burst the other one)
  • Redecorated my room.(Now Text Books Free!)
  • Registered for driving.
  • Haven't touched my ps2 for almost 3-4 months
  • Spend only 10 bucks in a month (been eating home all the way)
Well, thats all so far that I could think of. Those are mainly some of it.
Basically I'm still out of plans on what to do for my holidays, probably just chill for a while and probably hang out with a few of my friends whom I've never met before..
Another thing that keeps me occupied is Fifa 08.

Owh yeah, another update for the first time I've watched ManUtd lost while wearing my new jersey.. probably just a bad day?

Another thing which I'm into is Godfather. Finally I'm able to witness one of the wonders of the world. Godfather is by far one of the coolest and greatest movie ever. Watch it for yourself.. Warning : The show is about 3 hours long.
And errr.. if anyone owns a Godfather ps2 game, lend it to me alright?

During post spm, we went to KLCC for the HINDRAF rally.
Unfortunately, we were a day late and all we saw was some batik fashion show.
With all this hype on politics, makes me feel like turning my blog into a liberal blog on politics too.
Whats up with the Malaysia??

This is Ikhwan on the train.

Shut Down.

Starting from tomorrow, 00.00 hours, 8th October 2007, I'll be shutting down my computer.
This is a big deal for me as I seldom turn my comp off.(i need a life)
I hope by turning off the computer, I would be able to concentrate on studies more.
Although I'm still able to go online through other computers in my house but, I'll try to control myself and only log on whenever there is something urgent.

My work place. (check out my coke collections..)

Daily timetable and a countdown to SPM.
Finally i would like to say good luck to all SPM candidates of 2007.
I'm logging off, see you in 51 days.

Lantern Futsal Festival @ USJ 11

(I'm in black without my head)

Nope, we didn't carry lanterns and play futsal together nor we didn't eat mooncake while playing futsal with.. (Apparently we wanted to)..

We felt like it was Chinatown or either the land of the lala's there.
Techno music with Jay Chou remix playing loudly,
Shouting of Chinese voices,
Chinese People shuffling with hand phone ringtones.
we pretty much felt like home.......not...

After the game, Joel decided to create a new tradition of his own, instead of burning the candle and placing it inside the lantern. He took a short cut and burn the lantern instead.

Lantern, RM 0.50 or less...
Candles, RM1.00
Yuen's scream, priceless....

* note the techno music..... tok che tok che tok che

Bunch of Candles.

Not how a lantern should be played.

How a lantern should be played.

Video of Shufflers, Firecrackers sounding the car alarm..

Poor Quality, sorry...

This is more like a festival of fire..

Have You Been Updating Lately??

No, I have not..
Suddenly I have just lost the touch for blogging.
I guess my life ain't that happening after all.
=(

But there is one new headline in my ever so unpredictable life
Unless I don't win the lottery, or unless I had inherited some rich tycoon's money,
I might be taking a year off from studies and work or I'll be going going for STPM.

Well, looks like everyone would be having a blast in ther college life and I'll still be sticking to Pn Wang's Dog House.
If you guys don't mind, I'll make myself feel better by talking about the benefits of STPM.
  • Financial - I don't have to spend that much money on college, that means I save on 10k.
  • Car - With that money, I would be able to get a car. =D
  • Public Uni - I don't know why i included this, I doubt i'll enter/get to enter..
  • Attire - I don't have to wake up every morning deciding what to wear for school.
  • Location - Seafield is just 400m away from my house.
  • Bully - I'll become the taikor of seafield and bully people, or the other way around..
  • Subjects - Look at the subjects they're offering, Moral! Sejarah! BM! my "favorite"
  • Haircut - I'll get free haircuts whenever my hair is long or not from Pn. Ung.
Well this is what I normally think about when people criticize Form 6.
Suddenly i don't think its that bad anymore.
Wish me luck people..

The living contrast of Malaysians

MPT5, wasn't really that great.
Performances was like every other events except for 1 particular band, that was awesome.
Perhaps I might blog about it some other time.

In the mean time,
I would like to give a shout out to the person who stole Sherry's phone.
Kindly return it back to its respective owner.
Or else plenty of people here will start cursing you will either die getting hit by a lorry on Monday.
Or you will suffer every second in your life till the day you die.
I mean, so much for good deeds, I found a Nokia N91, returned it.
that dude found it, keep it..
Whats wrong with the people nowadays...
I mean, yeah you will benefit loads by selling it, but they never really feel how the owner are getting through right now..
