Penang

I've recently just got back from Penang on a 4 days trip with a bunch of friends.
The main purpose of this trip was just to satisfy my greedy lil tummy of mine. EAT EAT EAT
Unlike most of my friends, I don't actually travel to Penang often and therefore Penang food was something like a delicacy to me. Or you can call me "Jakun".

1. Travel by bus on a Holiday.

Honestly, I have never sat on a bus for a holiday.

2. Going on a holiday with friends.
Nope, never done that either.
3. Spend a duration of 4 days with pure Mandarin/Cantonese spoken people.
Hey, it was a learning experience. Hahahaha!

4. Saw a walking Manatee (Dugong) on land before.

I don't think that i have ever seen a Manatee before.

5. Sat a ferry

6. Used bus as a main transportation

Most of the time we were sitting this old junk bus. And damn it was hot.

7. Clubbing in Penang.

Notice the song Xiao Wei... Speechless.

This was the weirdest experience ever. Went to a so called famous club in Penang. "momo". Saw a few Guai Low dancing to Mama Mia and a few others hitting up some Penang local girls. Overall the "crowd" on that night was only 20, thats including me.
Next weird thing at the club was actually the Taxi driver that was suppose to send us back was at the club with us. If it wasn't weird enough, he's drinking.
We were all thinking..

We left the club early and yet that dude it still following us. Somehow we manage to loose him from our tail and we ended up buying a few more cans back to our hotel room. party like a rockstar baby! I wasn't really drunk but was just... sleepy... and... full.. keep on burping i think.

Well thats about it, many more to say but being me I'm lazy to blog it out.

SEGi Leadership Camp

There are plenty of things that i dislike about SEGi College. This doesn't only applies to me, but on a whole, if you noticed, most SEGi-ians aren't really proud of where do they study. Somehow... The GangHo Spirit of it couldn't be compared to those well established Colleges like Taylors University College or Sunway University College.

Anyway, there was something that made me proud and also committed in the college, which was the SEGi Leadership Camp (SLC). I was told by a few peers about SLC being one of the best camp attended and trust me they're right, but nothing can be compared to it as to experiencing it. Most camps I would say that the participants are the reason why it is successful, well this is no different but the few instructors were the differences between these camps too.

Day 1
Arrived at Nusa Dusun at Linggi roughly around 0300 hours.
Nusa Dusun, located somewhere in the middle of the hutan katulistiwa of Melaka, where even you don't get connection for mobile phones.

Rock Climbing activity right on the first day.
Rock climbing was seriously fun, but unlike many other rock climbing facilities in Genting, or so on, this one actually teaches you the technique on how to climb, belay, and also wearing all the equipments and as you made it to the top, you'll notice that the people below are much much smaller and also really really proud because you know that it was your effort and your teams effort rather than some instructor doing everything and supporting you as you climb. Trust me its not as easy as it looks.


After a tired day, even Ronaldo needs a time out to it.

DAY 2
Day 2 involves more physical activities and also uses your mentality to the extreme. Simple fun and easy activities among groups such as "Dragon's Tail" to the Caterpillar and hard thinking games such as how do u stack 16 long nails on top of 1 nails without touching the ground. Took us half and hour and still we couldn't get it. Another one which involves strength, agility, and also team's support was rock climbing blindfold. That was the most awesome experience throughout the camp i think, somehow i did it in less than 4 mins! Spiderman in the making!
Of course with all the rock climbing and all, I suffer a few minor injuries like an inch blister on my palm and also several cuts on my knee, but it was all worth it.

Day 3
Day 3 was pretty easy, simple activities like balancing your whole team on a huge see saw and also flying fox. Besides that, there were many more activities that too, but I'm just pretty lazy to list them out.

Managed to get a video when I was "flying" but unfortunately, I think the video was cut. It will only show the start and the end of it.... WHY!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't believed its messed up.

Well, its hard to say that SLC changed me so far, but it depends on the individual on how they apply the lessons they learned and it definitely makes us, the participants closer to one another like a family. Starting to miss the camp.!

Review : Viva La Vida Or Death & All His Friends

Viva La Vida is not referring to Ricky Martin..

Wow, that would be so gay.

Actually, I'm referring to the new yet to be released Coldplay album.

Viva La Vida Derived from a famous painting which signifies Long Live Life.

The Artist was actually suffering from Polio too.

After downloading 2 of their songs from the new album, I'm in love with it.

Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends is a really a break though album with a unique blend of alternative music which is really abstract. Definitely an album to be looking forward to. Love the direction this band is taking its music. Not to mention not playing safe by going too mainstream like what most bands direction are. That's one of the reasons why I always loved Coldplay all the way from the beginning. Think Different

X&Y

X&Y was harsh at first, I couldn't really accept Speed Of Sound but after a few hearings, I loved it and sad to say I've downloaded the whole album online. But with Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends, perhaps I would actually buy the album. 

I would recommend this album to those who adores musics from Kasabian or Franz Ferdinand.

I've got my MacBook finally after ages of waiting time. I never thought I would be this eager about a laptop especially a MacBook. Looks like I'm now a convert. But the Mac interface is such a pretty face (inspired from Happy Slip who is also a Mac user) At first it was a little hard for me to get used to the new operating system. But after awhile, I'm getting more used to Mac rather than a PC.

Bought it 2nd hand from torr3tos who also happens to sell me my new phone. More about it later. He's a good salesman.

Election Time

Everyone seems to be blogging about election, even Kenny Sia seems to look like a politician for both sides now and soon enough he'll form his own party.

But the main question still remains, who to vote and why am I blogging as if I can vote as I'm just 18.. ? I don't know, I'm nuts...

I think DAP (Rocket/Vibrator) will do fairly well this coming election. No doubt about KeADILan too, with Anwar Ibrahim his speeches will rock the houses down too. PAS have been doing well by not being too tight up and cooperating with other parties too. And finally Barisan Nasional have too done well by controlling the media, papers and being so religion extremist all the while, that will get the BIG votes.

Its 2.30 am in the morning. Few hours back, I was out with my colleagues having a drink mainly because 2 of them were leaving. Well, my genius mind ordered ice blended coffee and now I'm widely awake. Lesson to be learn for me, never drink coffee before you want to sleep.

And I've been trying to fall asleep and well, still very wide awake.

Story Of My Nokia N70
Its day 12 of not having my beloved n70 with me, and well the feeling wasn't as painful as it was but it still left a scar. The scar of not being able to listen to music on the bed(God i need an iPod), the scar of not able to take photos in an instant, the scar of loosing all my contacts and answering call and saying, "hello, yeah yeah, anyway who are you?", the scar of loosing all my calendar and schedules and birthdays!. That was exactly how much my n70 meant to me and Damn, i miss it so...

Work
Working this few days have been a breeze, sales were terrific, the luck was there and targets were met. Thank God... "Legends" just left the company making me one of the slightly more senior staff (not officialy) there. The atmosphere will change and well it'll be different. No one to complain to HQ about delayed commission or salary.

Decisions
After a few days of deciding what to replace my beloved n70, I think I've finally decided the perfect replacement.
No its not the iPhone.
But its the nokia n95.

Price now is about RM1500 and probably lower as what I predicted.
Lets just hope it drops alright, and probably I'll have more pictures in this blog too since the camera is a 5 Mega pixels camera and yes it does have wi-fi connection too.

iMac or MacBook
Okay, this looks like I'm a rich bastard who wants to get a n95 then want to get an imac or a macbook too. This is actually for fun. Well its more of a "What If" situation.
Assuming I'm going to leave the company someday. As a staff of machines, I'm entitled to buy any apple product at staff price once a year. So why don't I fully utilized it by just getting one.
Pros and Cons

I'll start off with the iMac,
Great screen to start off with 20" minimum and 24" for the larger one.
Great quality, aluminum finish body and glass screen.
Intel Core 2 Duo is a much better processor comparing to my Intel Pentium 4 1.6Ghz.
Amazing graphic card
Huge storage space
Great resale value
All the performance for a low price of Rm5799.


Macbook
Portable and classy
Portable, portable, portable, portable..... Damn its just great damn it.
Although its not as powerful as the iMac and not as beautiful as the iMac but DAMN its a NOTEBOOK and by the law, college students requires NOTEBOOKS more than a desktop.
And why the hell am I typing in CAPS, this caffein is really taking action man. GAARRR!
Maybe you can help me decide yeah? KTHX!

Convert
Since everyone in the whole world seems to be using a PC. Maybe I as a windows user can too convert U to become a mac user. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions by an average Windows user.
Its hard to adapt to a Mac
Mac Leopard OS X is the most user friendly interface and the best user experience ever operating system yet in the world. It beats the hell out of the aging old XP and the so unreliable and complicating Vista.
Why 5 versions of Vista and 1 for Mac
Vista already starts to confuse the consumers even though they haven't bought a Vista yet by just selecting the versions of which Operating System to get. If I want more I have to Pay more if i pay less I'll get and XP with new lousy interface.
Macs don't ship in with anti virus!
Of Course they don't, first of all, 440,000 viruses on a PC, 0 on a Mac. What else do you need to say?
I need to use Microsoft Office regularly.
There's Microsoft Office for Mac and you can even run Boot Camp which means Windows on a Mac. And install your Microsoft Office on your Windows. Or why don't you try iWork 08?
You Can't upgrade it
On a mac, there is little to upgrade because you don't really need to upgrade it. The reason is because the standard one is already More Powerful than any standard PC. If you really need the extra speed and performance you can upgrade the RAM and Hard disk, and you won't void the warranty. Don't worry.
World Wide Coverage
Apple have international coverage warranty and requires no warranty card because it does everything on the internet.
Games
I can't play games on a mac, because there are so few games, Well, that statement might be true now but by looking at it, it won't be for long for companies to build games for the mac too. This is because of the easy UNIX codes to create games and the awesome graphics they can do to it too and yes, intel chipsets.
Its just not as fast, I've seen a PC with better specs before about a year ago
A standard PC may have the speed but can its operating system fully utilize it all?
I doubt so, try starting or render the same image on a Mac and on the more powerful PC on Photoshop, then you'll know the difference.
Expensive
Macs are more expensive than a PC not because of its Specs, not because of its OS.
Macs tend to be more expensive than a PC because it is a premium quality product and although you can get more on a PC for the same value, but try selling that 4 years later and see whether the value of it can match a mac.
Its a proven point made than a mac has a better value comparing to a PC.
Replacing Mac, PCs can be upgraded
A Mac can be upgraded too and even the old Macs can be running the current and latest Operating system created which is the Leopard. Try using your old PC and run Vista, lets see what happen. Well Technology is like that, try buying a camera and 3 years later its outdated thats technology. PCs gets old too and Macs too gets old. But do not forget that you can sell your Mac for a higher value and get a new mac. Sure beats upgrading an old pc and throwing it away onces it reaches its limits.

Although she's a crack whore, I really do enjoy her music. Seems like drug music is good. (Not Encouraging Anyone To Do Drugs, Drugs Are Bad)
I just had her album, both her albums actually, Frank and Back To Black. I would say that both are really impressive.
Her voice may be annoying, but yes her music is different and damn it is addictive.
Don't just listen to rehab, especially the one remixed by jay z which sucks big time. Listen to You Know I'm No Good, or Tears Dry On Their Own and many more.

Owh yeah, errr many people have been blogging about their Valentines and maybe i should blog about mine.. I was working... =D
But well sales was pretty good that day, probably when there is love in the air, Sales Bloom?
I wish everyday was Valentines Day.
